Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th of 1995 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is an Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves has been released by Decca Records and was well welcomed by blogs about music. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the band Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. It earned her some recognition. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in her attic, and being captivated by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes' parents May Britt Aksnes urged her to pursue music for the sake of personal development, and not to earn money or for as a hobby. The singer began to write songs of her own. She credits Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen, along with Bjork for being among her inspirations. Her mother had told her that her songs could not only help her achieve fame however, they could also help others understand their significance in the world and realize the possibilities for the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. Her mother suggested that she sing her songs in public to help people realize their importance and the ways they impact the world. This was not known by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora did not have a set goal. Aurora is simply a writer who loves writing songs. According to her, she believes music can make any person feel better.
