Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the distinguished chair in psychology within the University of California Davis and is Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has received a lot of praise for pioneering the study of witnesses from children as well as memories of eyewitnesses in the legal setting. Professor Goodman published widely and has won several grants, and has been awarded numerous internationally and national awards. She has been consulted by numerous governments and agencies throughout the world regarding policy guidelines as well as research on children as victims in the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a part of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychological Psychology of women and trauma stress 56). Professor Goodman is also a participant in Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family the Practice and Policy.
